At this moment, immense numbers of human lives in Palestine are being ended in the most horrible way. As a community center we do not want to look the other way. As we do not want to look the other way when it comes to the suffering caused by systems of oppression and colonization worldwide, past and present. We emphasize the rights and dignity of every human being on this planet, unconditionally.

In times of polarization, it is a collective responsibility to sustain and foster connection. De Rinck wants to contribute to this by being a place for conversation, solidarity and encounter. Racism, anti-Semitism, Muslim hatred and all other forms of discrimination against human diversity are not welcome.

As human beings we learn together. Please feel free to speak to someone at De Rinck, or email us, with your doubts and questions.

📚 It is important to understand where violence comes from, and what powers are at play. Learn about Israel and Palestine by reading about it. Good (historical) sources include Lucas Catherine, Ilan Pappé and Edward Said.

In 2023 and 2024, the Rinck organized several activities highlighting the story of Palestine.

We read the Gaza monologues together and showed an expo of Palettes of Palestine. We also organized a Palestine night together with FMDO, Citizenne and Mix-Up, and engaged with students from Jabalia Hall during Let's talk about.

Keep an eye on the Rinck's website and social media channels to stay informed about upcoming activities.
