New Belgians wanted! (and old Belgians and always-already-Belgians)
In May, artist Anyuta is working on a very nice project at the Rinck: a welcoming ceremony for people who are becoming Belgian.
This ceremony will take place at City Hall.
Would you like to help think about what the ceremony should look like?
Would you like to talk in a small group about identity, nationality and coexistence?
Then you are very welcome at the waffle dinners we are organizing in May.

Palestine message
At this moment, immense numbers of human lives in Palestine are being ended in the most horrible way. As a community center we do not want to look the other way. As we do not want to look the other way when it comes to the suffering caused by systems of oppression and colonization worldwide, past and present. We emphasize the rights and dignity of every human being on this planet, unconditionally.
In times of polarization, it is a collective responsibility to sustain and foster connection. De Rinck wants to contribute to this by being a place for conversation, solidarity and encounter. Racism, anti-Semitism, Muslim hatred and all other forms of discrimination against human diversity are not welcome.
As human beings we learn together. Please feel free to speak to someone at De Rinck, or email us, with your doubts and questions.
